Approva Corporation, a provider of risk and controls intelligence software, has announced the appointment of John Becker as chief executive officer. He also will join Approva’s Board of Directors.

With more than 25 years of industry expertise, Becker is a seasoned technology professional with an extensive track record of success. Becker was the former CEO of Cybertrust before it was acquired by Verizon Business in July 2007. Prior to Cybertrust, Becker was chairman and CEO of AXENT Technologies, a publicly traded information security software and services company.
